A larger growing hardneck variety of garlic, producing pungent bulbs that store really well.
It has an amazing depth of flavour, that starts strong and finishes with a warm, sweet aftertaste.
Russian Red Garlic likes a colder winter and colder spring, and it is able to withstand wetter winters as long as the soil is not too heavy and free draining.
Being a hardneck type it will produce edible scapes (flowers) which should be cut to help the plants produce larger bulbs.
These bags of individual cloves have been hand selected by us all ready for planting. As they have been broken from the bulb roots they will need to be planted quickly upon their arrival
